2024

Roadr is a smart vehicle-assistant app designed to help drivers manage emergencies, maintenance, and day-to-day car needs in one place. Despite its strong utility, most users didn’t clearly understand what the app actually did — and, more importantly, why they needed it before something went wrong. The previous website looked generic, functional, and too focused on “features,” failing to communicate urgency, context, and real-world value.

THE CHALLENGE

The biggest challenge was clarity. Drivers only think about car apps after a problem happens — a dead battery, a flat tire, a breakdown at 5 a.m. on the highway. At that moment, downloading an app isn’t an option. Roadr needed a website that reframed the product from “another car app” to “an essential tool you install before you need it.” The old design didn’t create this awareness or emotional trigger.

THE SOLUTION

The redesign focused on education, anticipation, and persuasion. I created a modern, clean visual system with micro-interactions, short videos, and scenario-driven content that shows exactly why Roadr matters. Instead of listing features, the new experience walks the user through real-world situations, reinforcing the idea that Roadr is peace of mind in your pocket. Persuasive copy, intuitive hierarchy, and a frictionless scroll narrative now guide visitors toward one clear action: download the app before the unexpected happens.
